MAC United is a registered not-for-profit society in the province of Alberta. Accordingly the club is governed as outlined in its official constitution and by-laws. MAC United Board are supported by numerous volunteers who work on the Calgary community.

 

Let's introduce our MAC United Board members

 

 

Ammar Mahdi

Ammar Mahdi is currently the Chairman of MAC United Soccer Club Board of Directors. Ammar also sits as an IT Director with Almadina Language Charter Academy (ALCA) Board of Directors.  He has been an active member with MAC and played an integral role with the development of Youth and Community Engagement departments within MAC Calgary Chapter.  Ammar has been working in the Oil and Gas industry for the last 15 years as Petroleum Engineering Technologist and Pipeline Inline Inspection Analyst.  He graduated in 2005 with Bachelors of Petroleum Engineering Technology from SAIT Polytechnic. He has also worked as a Resettlement Counselor with CCIS.  Ammar is a proud father of 5 kids.  He enjoys playing soccer, skiing and travelling.

 

 

Eaman Omar

Eaman Omar is currently a member of the MAC United Soccer board. She has been involved in community youth work with MAC for over 14 years, sitting on numerous committees as well as leading halaqas and programs such as the MAC Youth 4 Sisters youth nights. Eaman has also founded the MAC Girls Community Soccer, and she has coached the U14 and U16 girls competitive teams.
Eaman previously worked as a secretary at the Calgary Islamic School from 2011-2013, and she currently works as a librarian at the school since 2015.
Eaman was born and raised in Calgary, and she is married with 4 children. She loves to bake, and has co-authored a cookbook titled “Our Family Treasures.” Eaman is passionate about supporting young Muslims, and she hopes to continue her work with youth in the community.

 

 

 

Ayman Omar

 

 

Ayman Omar is currently the Chapter head of MAC Calgary and a member of MAC United board. He's a successful self employed business owner, and is happily married with 4 kids. Ayman has been an active member within the MAC community for over 25 years, and he has led various departments within the chapter. He's also the founder of MAC United Soccer Club which has accommodated up to 400 children and youth over the past 15 years. Ayman continues to be a key member within the MAC community and is committed to initiatives that support the Islamic identity in our youth and families, and the overall success of our Muslim Community in Calgary

 

 

 

Samir Belanteur

 

 

Samir Belanteur is currently a member of MAC United Soccer board and a member of Al Salam Centre board. He is an IT Support Analyst and happily married with two kids. Samir has been an active member within MAC as previously worked as a Social Committee lead in the past 10 years and was a great support for other departments as well as Institutions, Education…etc. He will continue to provide services and programs designed to assist in the holistic educational and spiritual development of the Muslim individual and family

 

 

 

Zulfikar
Zulfikar
Zulfikar is currently a member of MAC United Soccer board . Growing up in Calgary he enjoyed playing recreational sports. now involved with helping the new generation live a healthy lifestyle. Zulfikar has been in the Banking industry for over 20 years. Also active in management of Maryam Mosque in Calgary and member of Board of Directors for Islamic Association of Calgary NorthWest (IANWC).
